Novia is a 1988 Cal 39, designed by C. Raymond Hunt, and is a unique offering for this late-model on the West Coast. With overall high-quality construction, design concept, interior layout, and contemporary styling, Novia provides superb sailing performance, a powerful sail plan, a fast and competent hull and roomy below deck livability that rivals a much larger boat. Novia exemplifies the sailing performance and handling of the legendary Cal 40s, but with modern design and creature comforts found in many of today’s boats.

The current owner has sailed the vessel extensively in the San Francisco Bay and taken several trips up and down the central coast of California, including a passage to Ventura and the Channel Islands for a Summer excursion. Sturdy and capable underway, and comfortable at anchor for 2-3 couples, Novia can take you from a day sail to a week or more on the hook in cruising luxury.

Many features that you would expect to find only in purpose-built blue water cruisers are incorporated into this efficient and creative design. This yacht has been well-maintained and upgraded by its former and current owners and she is ready for you to reap the benefit of the continuous TLC that has helped make this offering a truly unique opportunity in this price range.

Novia features the deep draft 7’ fin keel option. The yacht also has an auxiliary 25-gallon stainless steel water tank on centerline just aft of the engine. It can be easily adopted as a second fuel tank, increasing the capacity to around 61 gallons.

Photos alone cannot do this yacht justice. This Cal 39 is the perfect all-around performance cruiser. It is aggressively priced to sell and she is definitely a must see yacht.
